Grape variety is 100% Sauvignon Blanc and the age of the vines is 20 to 40 years
Terroir : Hard limestone 

The grapes are for Sancerre are harvested from vines growing on hard limestone soil known locally as "caillottes", situated on the steep slopes of Chavignol.
This Sancerre is fermented between 15 and 18°c in thermoregulated stainless steel tanks, then is matured for 5 months on its fine lees to focus its aromas.
Wine and Food :
The explosive bouquet in this bottle is very characteristic of mature Sauvignon Blanc.
Serve this wine with great fish dishes such as a duo of salmon and pike-perch on a bed of herbs. Exotic plates also marry well : halibut steak poached in mango tea sauce for example! 
Tasting :
This fruity wine with delicate and floral fragrances possesses excellent balance, invigorating freshness and delightful persistence.
La Vigne Blanche may be kept in bottle for 2 to 3 years.
Best enjoyed served at about 12 °c.
